Ayman Nour Admits Sending Message to Obama
Former chairman of Ghad Party Ayman Nour lodged a complaint to the Public Prosecutor, accusing lawyer Samir el-Teshtawi of false accusations against him.
According to al-Gomhouria newspaper on 16 August, the lawyer accused Nour of insulting the President of the Republic and harming Egypt's reputation, the judiciary and the public prosecutor.
Nour said those accusations were false, expressing his readiness to prove the truthfulness of all that he has mentioned in his letter to Obama, which was published by al-Masry al-Youm on 13 August.
He called for appearing before the Public Prosecutor to reply to what he called "false accusations" by Teshtawi.
Nour said he would file a lawsuit against journalist Khaled Amin who wrote the news story. He called for examining all complaints he had lodged to the Public Prosecutor since 2005.
