Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (6) Between the Truth and Telling Lies in Religion

Quranic Terminology: Truth/True/Truly/Truthful: (6) Between the Truth and Telling Lies in Religion

Firstly: between the Truth of the celestial religion of God and the lies  of the devilish religions of Satan:

1- God's religion is the Truth, whereas the so many of Satan's religions are mere lies, myths and falsehoods. God's True religion is a celestial revelation descending from God to His prophets/messengers. Satan's religions contain revelations of falsehoods and lies given to allies of Satan among devilish Jinn and human beings, while pretending that such revelations are divine (i.e., from God) by ascribing them falsely to God's religion and to His prophets/messengers. Hence, as far as religion is concerned, there is two types of contradictory revelations: the true, divine revelation and the revelations of falsehoods by devils and Satan. God says the following in the Quran about His Word, the Last Message to human beings, the Quran itself: "It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. The Honest Spirit came down with it. Upon your heart, that you may be one of the warners." (26:192-195); "It was not the devils that revealed it. It is not in their interests, nor in their power. They are barred from hearing." (26:210-212). God says the following about devilish revelations: "Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? They descend upon every sinful liar." (26:221-222).

2- God's prophets/messengers are the truthful envoys of the Lord God, whereas their foes and enemies are those who falsely ascribe discourses, narratives, hadiths of Satanist revelations to God and His prophets/messengers: "Likewise, We have assigned for every prophet an enemy-human and jinn devils-inspiring one another with fancy words in order to deceive. But had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. So leave them to their fabrications. So that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter may incline to it, and be content with it, and that they may perpetrate whatever they perpetrate." (6:112-113). We notice the use of the present tense in 6:112-113, indicating that the devilish revelations to allies of Satan will continue in all eras and there will be always those who be content to follow such revelations of falsehoods and thus they perpetrate sins and crimes.

3- This continuity of devilish revelations is witnessed now by the phenomenon of human allies of Satan arguing with Quranists (especially a Quranist thinker like ourselves) about Quranic verses with the aim to refute and undermine them to repel people away from His Way (i.e., the Quran) and to make their narratives/hadiths replace it; God has warned real, true believers against engaging in such arguments: "...The devils inspire their followers to argue with you; but if you obey them, you would be polytheists." (6:121).

4- ""Shall I seek a judge other than God, when He is the One who revealed to you the Book, explained in detail?" Those to whom We gave the Book know that it is the Truth revealed from your Lord. So do not be of those who doubt. The Word of your Lord has been completed, in Truth and justice. There is no changing to His words. He is the Hearer, the Knower." (6:114-115). Here, God informs real, true believers that the Quran is the Only Perfect and True Criterion to judge within religious matters, as it is the Detailed Book; we are never to focus on the countless books of devilish revelations and Satanist narratives authored by misguided and misguiding persons.

5- There are unjust ones who deceive others within worldly matters and issues, but those who are more unjust are those who wrong God by ascribing to Him false narratives/hadiths as if they were divinely revealed, because these are devilish revelations that lead one to reject and disbelieve in the Truth revealed by God; i.e., the Quran and previous Scriptures. This meaning is repeated several times in the Quranic text; we quote here examples only from the Quranic Chapter Six. "Who does greater wrong than someone who fabricates lies against God, or denies His verses? The unjust ones will not succeed." (6:21); " Who does greater injustice than someone who invents falsehoods against God, or says, "It was revealed to me," when nothing was revealed to him, or says, "I will reveal the like of what God revealed"? If only you could see the unjust ones in the throes of death, as the angels with arms outstretched: "Give up your souls. Today you are being repaid with the torment of shame for having said about God other than the Truth, and for being too proud to accept His verses."" (6:93); "...Who does greater injustice than he who invents lies and attributes them to God, in order to mislead people without knowledge? God does not guide the unjust people." (6:144).

6- The Satanist revelations are the foundations of the earthly, man-made, fabricated religions whose imams and clergymen are deified and sanctified. Such clergymen ally themselves to any tyrants and unjust regimes, and this leads to the spread of more injustices in a given country, where clergymen commit injustices against God and people. This applies to the countries of the Muhammadans now; the Shiite, Sufi, or Sunnite clergymen are being ridden and controlled by tyrants, and such clergymen ride and control, in their turn, other citizens. Tyrants and their official clergymen are experts in telling lies to people and they lie to God as well, while insisting they tell the truth. When their claims and statements are refuted using the Quranic Truth, they disbelieve, undermine, and argue against the Quranic Truth and accuse preachers of the Quranic Truth of being inveterate liars. Hence, they ascribe lies to God and to His religion and disbelieve in Quranic verses, God's Word, while accuse those who preach reform using the Quranic Truth of being liars. Telling lies and falsehoods is part of their history in all eras until now.

Secondly: disbelievers accuse God's prophets/messengers of being inveterate liars:

God says in the Quran: "Who is more evil than he who lies about God, and denies the Truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell room for the disbelievers? But he who promotes the Truth, and testifies to it - these are the righteous." (39:32-33). We see here the lucid comparison between the most unjust people, who disbelieve in the Quranic Truth and ascribe lies to God, and prophets/messengers who conveyed the Message of Truth from their Lord God and those real, true believers in God's Word. Thus, disbelievers who adhered to lies, myths, and falsehoods typically accused God's prophets/messengers of being liars.

1- Noah and his followers were accused of being liars: "The affluent ones who disbelieved among his people said, "We see in you nothing but a man like us, and we see that only the worst among us have followed you, those of immature judgment. And we see that you have no advantage over us. In fact, we think you are liars."" (11:27).

2- This same accusation was leveled at Hood by his people, the tribe of Aad: "The affluent ones of his people who disbelieved said, "We see foolishness in you, and we think that you are a liar."" (7:66).

3- The tribe of Thamood accused Saleh of being an inveterate liar, and the response/refutation came to them before they were smitten and destroyed by God: "...he is an inveterate liar." They will know tomorrow who the inveterate liar is.'' (54:25-26)

4- Shuaib was accused of being a liar by his people of Madian, and the response/refutation came to them before they were smitten and destroyed by God: "...and we think that you are a liar." (26:186); "...You will know to whom will come a punishment that will shame him, and who is a liar. So look out; I am on the lookout with you."" (11:93).

5- Moses' Pharaoh was the self-deified tyrant who went into unprecedented extremes of corruption, and he saw himself as a guiding person and accused Moses of corruption and telling lies, as he desired to put him to death: "Pharaoh said, "Allow me to kill Moses, and let him appeal to his Lord. I fear he may change your religion, or spread corruption on earth."" (40:26); "...Pharaoh said, "I do not show you except what I see, and I do not direct you except to the path of guidance."" (40:29); "We sent Moses with Our signs, and a clear authority. To Pharaoh, Haman, and Quaroon. But they said, "A lying sorcerer."" (40:23-24); "And Pharaoh said, "O Haman, build me a tower, that I may reach the pathways. The pathways of the heavens, so that I may glance at the God of Moses; though I think he is lying." Thus Pharaoh's evil deeds were made to appear good to him, and he was averted from the path. Pharaoh's guile was only in defeat." (40:36-37); "Pharaoh said, "O nobles, I know of no god for you other than me. So fire-up the bricks for me O Haman, and build me a tower, that I may ascend to the God of Moses, though I think he is a liar."" (28:38).

6- Muhammad was also accused of being a liar; God says in the Quran: "And they marveled that a warner has come to them from among them. The disbelievers said, "This is a lying magician."" (38:4). Muhammad was also accused of fabricating the Quran and ascribing it falsely to God; God refutes their claims in the Quran this way: "Did he invent a lie about God, or is there madness in him?" Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are in torment, and far astray." (34:8); "Or do they say, "He invented it himself"? Say, "If I invented it myself, there is nothing you can do to protect me from God. He knows well what you are engaged in. He is sufficient witness between me and you. He is the Forgiver, the Merciful."" (46:8). Thus, this has been an attempt of adulterating facts/truth by the Qorayish disbelievers.

Thirdly: adulterating facts/truth:

1- God in the Quran asserts the Truth: "...We are indeed Truthful." (6:146); angels who were sent to Lot asserted their truthfulness when he doubted them: ""We bring you the truth, and we are truthful."" (15:64). Yet, disbelievers who were liars used the same assertion/claim of truthfulness within contexts of their telling lies, conspiring, scheming, and plotting; e.g., this group of Thamood people who plotted to kill their prophet Saleh: "In the city was a gang of nine who made mischief on earth and did no good. They said, "Swear by God to one another that we will attack him and his family by night, and then tell his guardian, 'We did not witness the murder of his family, and we are being truthful.'"" (27:48-49). Thus, in all eras, preachers of Truth assert their being truthful but so are polytheists and unjust aggressors.

2- This is why God says that liars among polytheists and disbelievers can never be guided. Examples of this fact are tackled below.

2/1: God makes this general rule about disbelievers who tell lies, after talking about disbelieving Arabs: "In fact, We have given them the truth, and they are liars." (23:90); "It is those who do not believe in God's verses who fabricate falsehood. These are the liars." (16:105); "...and for the disbelievers to know that they were liars." (16:39).

2/2: God asserts to us in the Quran that those who are experts in misguiding people by telling lies, falsehoods, and myths can never be guided, though Muhammad was keen on guiding them: "...God does not guide the lying disbeliever." (39:3); "Even though you may be concerned about their guidance, God does not guide those who misguide. And they will have no supporters." (16:37).

Fourthly: God testifies in the Quran against the Yathreb hypocrites among the companions of Muhammad as they were inveterate liars:

1- Those hypocritical companions ascribed lies to Muhammad while he was alive as part of their conspiring against him; God has exposed them and told Muhammad to stay away from them: "They profess obedience, but when they leave your presence, some of them conspire something contrary to what you said. But God writes down what they conspire. So avoid them, and put your trust in God. God is Guardian enough." (4:81).

2- God describes such hypocrites those who swear by God's name too much to cover their lies, to keep their stature, and to repel people away from God's Path: "They treat their oaths as a cover, and so they repel others from God's path. Evil is what they do." (63:2); "They took their oaths as a screen, and prevented others from God's path. They will have a shameful torment." (58:16).

3- God testifies against these hypocrites as they were liars and predicts their swearing by His name falsely: "...Still they swear by God: "Had we been able, we would have marched out with you." They damn their own souls, and God knows that they are lying. May God pardon you! Why did you give them permission before it became clear to you who are the truthful ones, and who are the liars?" (9:42-43); "Then there are those who establish a mosque to cause harm, and disbelief, and disunity among the believers, and as an outpost for those who fight God and His messenger. They will swear: "Our intentions are nothing but good." But God bears witness that they are liars." (9:107); "When the hypocrites come to you, they say, "We bear witness that you are God's messenger." God knows that you are His messenger, and God bears witness that the hypocrites are liars." (63:1).

4- Those liars and hypocrites were companions who were contemporaries of Muhammad, and the Sunnite religion deifies and sanctifies all of them as infallible saints/deities; this means that the Sunnite religion is based on telling/narrating lies, and this applies to all other earthly religions whose foundations are devilish/Satanist revelations.

Fifthly: hypocrites live and die as inveterate liars and will go on telling lies even on the Last Day:

1- God says the following about what hypocrites will do on the Last Day: "On the Day when God will resurrect them altogether-they will swear to Him, as they swear to you, thinking that they are upon something. Indeed, they themselves are the liars." (58:18).

2- Moreover, God says the following about polytheistic hypocrites on the Last Day who used to tell lies: "On the Day when We gather them all together, then say to the polytheists, "Where are your partners, those you used to claim?" Then their only argument will be to say, "By God, our Lord, we were not polytheists." Look how they lied to themselves. And what they invented deserted them." (6:22-24).

3- Hence, their addition to telling lies will go on even on the Last Day until before being thrown into Hell; they will wish in vain to return to Earth to believe, but this wish is even a lie, as God says in these verses: "If only you could see, when they are made to stand before the Fire; they will say, "If only we could be sent back, and not reject the verses of our Lord, and be among the believers." What they used to conceal before will become clear to them. And even if they were sent back, they would revert to what they were forbidden. They are liars." (6:27-28).

4- The above is not strange or astonishing; what is really strange or astonishing is the fact that, past and present, the vast majority of human beings deify and believe in imams/leaders of lies and falsehoods who include, for instance, Al-Bokhary, Malik, Al-Shafei, Al-Kulayni, Al-Ghazaly, Ibn Taymiyya,  and Ibn Abdul-Wahab. They also include clergymen of the present and of the past within all earthly religions. All of these clergymen and imams are inveterate liars and hypocrites, and those who believe in them and in their discourses are liars like them.

Islam Is the Religion of the Truth

1- We have received a question via email about the reason behind ending many of our articles all the time with this phrase: (As always, God says nothing but the Absolute Truth). Our answer took an article form within the section (Quranic Terminology) and the yields of this Quranist research increased and a series of articles has been written; we combine these articles in this short book titled "Islam Is the Religion of the Truth".
2- The methodology adopted in this book is the same one within the section (Quranic Terminology); i.e., to trace and explore how certain Quranic terms, with their cognates and derivations, are used through the entire Quranic text. The articles of the genre named (Quranic Terminology) paves the way for other Quranist researchers to write articles in the same vein. Turning our articles in the form of a short book does not entail any change in our methodology of writing, as most of the content of this series of articles are referred to in our previous writin
