Ahmed Subhy Mensour criticizes Elyoum Essaabe’ readerships’ onslaught on his proposal to convene a conference to end Saudi control of Mecca and calls upon the Saudis to attend “ if they think they are right”

Dr. Ahmed Subhy Mensour, leader of the Quranists, expressed his regrets over some comments made by some readers of Elyoum Essaabe’, attacking his call to convene a conference in Washington, “to liberate Mecca from the Saudis”. Mensour said that those comments confirms the dredging of the Egyptian mentality because of the powerful grip of Wahhabi thought over mosques, education, media, culture and press, where people came to believe that Wahhabism is Islam, and that Saudi kingdom is the birthplace of Islam, in which the prophet of Islam (PBUH), was born and raised.

In a special statement to Elyoum Essaabe’, Dr. Mensour said those who attacked him in their comments, did not know that Al-Hejaz in most of its history was attached and under the authority of Egypt, before the appearance of the Saudi family, and they did not know, that the current Saudi state, the third one, was established in 1932.. Making Omer Afendy stores older in existence, yet that family/state managed to control the oldest state in history, Egypt, and descended with it to the depth of decadence since 1981 and up to date.

He added that those same ones do not know, it was Egypt that terminated the first Saudi state and destroyed its capital “Ad-derr’yya”, took its Amir as prisoner and sent him to be executed in Al-Asetaana (Capital of Ottoman Empire) in 1881, and they do not know that the Saudi family is still avenging what Governor Mohammad Ali Pasha did to them till now. For that reason, it was Abdul Aziz Al Saud’s policy to convert Egypt from the moderate Sunni Sufi sect, to the strict Sunni Wahhabi sect, for Egypt to become the strategic depth for his state, and regrettably he was successful at that.

Mr. Mensour added that as a sign of their scheme’s success, is when we call to reform what Wahhabism caused of sedition, they come back at us accusing us of spreading dissension and discord among Muslims, as if Muslims nowadays are living their zenith with no internal strife, discord, disturbance, fight, contention, quarrel and wars, in the Gulf, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Yemen, Sa’da, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sudan, Darfur, Egypt and Algeria etc… and I came along to mess up their happiness.

In short, Mr. Mensour said, the Saudis and Wahhabis are the pillars of dissention and turmoil in the lands of Muslims since their appearance in 1745, and in short again, I say this, seeking nothing but God’s acceptance and His mercy, and He is a witness to what I am about to say, that real Jihad is the liberation of the Sacred Mosque from the hands of the Saudis, whose crimes put them on the side of those who declare animosity to Almighty God, his religion, his book and his prophet( PBUH)

He mentioned that he does need anyone’s sympathy, because who needs it, is the politician, for he needs to satisfy and lull people even by deception, “as for me, I do not practice politics as a profession or to garner benefits and interests, rather I indulge in it to the extent of fulfilling my program for intellectual reforms, pointing out the fact, that a reformer, does not enjoy a celebrity status with the mobs and the riffraff, just like a doctor who puts his finger on the wound and inserts a needle at the location of ailment, causing the sick to temporarily scream. Likewise, as in the ailments of tyranny, oppression, corruption, Wahhabism, using religion as a source of accumulating wealth and superficial piety, “The sick” directs all the blame to the physician, hence, I understand their anger but do not answer them.

On a different note, Dr. Ahmed Subhy Mensour called upon Saudi Arabia to respond to his call for a conference to put her eligibility to be the custodial of Hajj obligation and the Sacred House up for discussion, from different aspects, a Sharee’a based legality, historically, lawfully and politically. The goal of such a conference is enlightenment after decades of truth-covering, forgery and manufacturing of ignorance. He also said “If they have the right, islamically, historically, politically and legally, let them be the first to respond.” . Pointing out that there is insistence on discussing, negativities, offenses and crimes suffered by Pilgrims during Hajj, and it is past time to bring them to account. He also said “Pilgrims from all over the world are neither subjects nor slaves of the Saudi family, treating them as they wish, and furthermore, the Saudi family does not have an authorization from God Almighty to control the Hajj obligation”.
