Finally about the verse 43 of the 4th chapter (The women) the arabic word (sokara) is misinterpreted for drunk due to alcohol drinking. Sokara in Quran means a mind befogged. So it should be said that way:
((O ye who believe! Approach not prayers with a mind befogged)) The noble Quran, Chapter 4 verse 43
Because if we say sokara means drunk, that means that getting drunk is allowed after the last prayer!!!!!!!
2- No punishment against drinking wine does not mean that it is allowed to drink wine. For example there is no punishment against saying bad words to your mother, does that mean that it is allowed to do that!!!??? Islam put punishment against what cause serious damage to society but not against every sin. Also about that punishments are only against what is done by the work of limbs and not against the (inner) sins, I say that every bad work starts from the inside. I think all of you here agree on that point.
3- I did not hear about any friend of the prophet who drank after the prophet's death. However even if this is right our example in religious aspects should be the prophet (PBUH) who never drank. Also we should refer the noble Quran which called drinking wine as (satan's work).
4- Same thing about Saeed ibn Al-Mseeb.
5- Prohibtion of alcohol is if it is used for drinking only. It is allowed to use it for other purposes. In medicine for example. In the ritual ablution you are not drinking the wine if you are using it. However scholars made it allowed to do ablution using water containing menstrual blood!!!!
6- About the following verse ((On those who believe and do deeds of righteousness there is no blame for what they ate when they guard themselves from evil, and believe, and do deeds of righteousness,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and believe,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and do good. For GOD loveth those who do good)) The noble Quran, chapter 5 verse 93
This proofs the prohibition of alcohol drinking and this will be stated below.
7- The women chapter does not allow drinking wine. Please read above about that.
8- Wine in paradise is totally different than wine in earth. It doesn't make you drunk. Also in paradise there are beautiful maidnes so is it allowed to have sex on earth!!! Please refer the comment by my dear brother Hatem Kamal (in the Arabic version) and also refer the article (Pathology of wine) written by my dear brother Mohammed Sha'lan.
9- About the following noble verse: ((Say: I do not find in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden for an eater to eat of except that it be what has died of itself, or blood poured forth, or flesh of swine-- for that surely is unclean-- or that which is a transgression, other than (the name of) GOD having been invoked on it; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely your Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.)) The noble Quran, Chapter 6, Verse 145
First we have to know that The Cattle chapter was revealed to Mohammed (PBUH) in Mecca before the following chapters (The Cow & The Supper which iclude the prohibition of alcohol drinking). This means that drinking wine was allowed in Mecca (before the journey) but after the journey the verses which prohibit alcohol drinking were reaveled thus it was very logic that the verse (in chapter 5) which prohibits wine was followed by the following verse:
(( On those who believe and do deeds of righteousness there is no blame for what they ate (in the past), when they guard themselves from evil, and believe, and do deeds of righteousness,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and believe,- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and do good. For GOD loveth those who do good.)) The noble Quran, Chapter 5, Verse 93
Some of the prophet's friends used to drink wine in Mecca. They will not be punished for that if they gaurd themselves from evil (satan's work). Secondly the verse says (what they ate) and does not say (what they eat) and this is the biggest proof that the verse is speaking about a particular period. For example when GOD was speaking to Mohammed (PBUH) he said there is no blame for you then followed it by a past verb:
((and there is no blame on you concerning that in which you made a mistake)) The noble Quran, Chapter 33 Verse 5
At the end I want to say that I also don't want to forbid what is allowed but I think that whatever is called satan's work, great sin and GOD orders us to avoid it is a prohibited thing.
