The security services at Cairo International Airport, prevented Abdul Latif Sa’eid half-brother of Dr. Ahmed Subhy Mansour, the leader of “Qur’anists ” (Alqranyeen) from travel today, Friday, April 24, 2009->
Mr. Sa’eid said to the seventh day news paper, he went to Cairo airport to travel to Washington to attend a conference on improving relations with the United States and the Muslim world, organized by the Center for Islam and Democracy. After the security services at the airport checked his passport and stamped for departure, and five minutes before boarding the plane he was called by the airport security services, and asked him about the existence of problems between him and the state security apparatus.

He, Mr. Sa’eid added, that airport security officials told him that the information in the computer, a security decision placed on his file, preventing him from traveling, and asked officials to review the State Security Service to allow him to travel.

Mr. Sa’eid assured that there are no judicial decisions or judgments issued against him prevented him from traveling, but he pointed out to his arrest two years ago by the State Security related to the case of “Qur’anists” (Alqranyeen), but was released by the State Security Prosecution, without the transfer the case to the court. It also stressed that he would not waive his constitutional right to travel and would file a lawsuit before the administrative judiciary to enable it to restore his right again.
