Question: … Dear Sir, … I'd like you to give me detailed answers to the following questions: is the belief in God and the Hereafter sufficient to enter into Paradise; what about the verse 2:177? What about good deeds done by disbelievers who reject the Hereafter? Are there pious ones among the People of the Book (i.e., Jews + Christians) who will enter into Paradise despite their rejection of the Quranic message? … Thank you …

Answer:

Belief or faith within monotheism is never enough in itself; this must be accompanied by performing many good deeds (in terms of quality and quantity) within piety and the fear of the Lord God; monotheistic faith/belief will avail you nothing if you lead a life of sinning; only the pious ones will enter into Paradise; the monotheistic belief is explained in the verses 2:177, 2:136-137, 2:268, 3:84-85, and 4:150-151. Of course, the pious ones among the People of the Book should believe in the Quran first as per many verses in the Quranic Chapters 2 and 5. To reject and to disbelieve in the Quran means to enter into Hell and never into Paradise. We have discussed this topic in many articles of ours. The same division of all humanity in the Hereafter mentioned in the Quranic Chapter 56 applies to the People of the Book and other groups: "Those who believe, and those who are Jewish, and the Christians, and the Sabians - any who believe in God and the Last Day, and act righteously - will have their reward with their Lord; they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve." (2:62); "Those who believe, and the Jews, and the Sabians, and the Christians - whoever believes in God and the Last Day, and does what is right - they have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve." (5:69). It seems that you have not read our entire archive of writings; please read it before posing repeated questions to save our time.

About The Verses 58:2-4

Published in June 8, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Is the separation between a husband and a wife mentioned in the verses 58:2-4 deemed like divorce or not? Would you please explain this further to me? … Thank you …

Answer:

God says the following in the Quran: "Those of you who estrange their wives by equating them with their mothers - they are not their mothers. Their mothers are none else but those who gave birth to them. What they say is evil, and a blatant lie. But God is Pardoning and Forgiving. Those who estrange their wives by equating them with their mothers, then go back on what they said, must set free a slave before they may touch one another. To this you are exhorted, and God is well aware of what you do.But whoever cannot find the means must fast for two consecutive months before they may touch one another. And if he is unable, then the feeding of sixty needy people. This, in order that you affirm your faith in God and His Messenger. These are the ordinances of God. The unbelievers will have a painful torment." (58:2-4). This means that this is NOT a type of divorce; rather, it is a vow to abstain from conjugal sex; this sin (committed by husbands) must be atoned for by the husband only; if the stubborn husbands insist on their stance of abstention after the passage of four months, the wife can demand divorce for harm inflicted on her: "Those who vow abstinence from their wives must wait for four months. But if they reconcile - God is Forgiving and Merciful. And if they resolve to divorce - God is Hearing and Knowing." (2:226-227).

Prayers As Per Whims!

Published in June 10, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Since you say that the daily prayers are inherited from the religion of Abraham, and since their number is not mentioned in the Quran, why don't I perform the number of Raqas I prefer or to make each of the five daily prayers have one Raqa? … Thank you …

Answer:

You cannot pray as per your own whims; you must perform prayers in the way ordained by the Lord God. Do not invent rules never mentioned in the Quran; it is a blasphemous act of self-deification to invent sharia laws of your own; this pertains to utter disbelief.

About The Verse 52:21

Published in June 10, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Would you explain to me the mention of one's offspring here: "Those who believed, and their offspring followed them in faith - We will unite them with their offspring, and We will not deprive them of any of their works. Every person is hostage to what he has earned." (52:21)? Does this mean that pious ones will make their sinful children/progeny enter into Paradise?! Is that true? … Thank you …

Answer:

Of course not; only the pious ones will enter into Paradise and the pious ones among their progeny; this does NOT include sinners and disbelievers among their offspring; God says the following in the Quran: "Everlasting Gardens, which they will enter, along with the righteous among their parents, and their spouses, and their descendants. And the angels will enter upon them from every gate. Peace be upon you, because you endured patiently. How excellent is the Final Home." (13:23-24). The servants of the Dominant Lord God supplicate to Him this way: "..."Our Lord, grant us delight in our spouses and our children, and make us a good example for the righteous."" (25:74).

About Those Who Never Fast during Ramadan

Published in June 12, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … My brother is not ill and his health is good; yet, he refuses to fast during Ramadan! If he repents one day, would he fast the missed days at some other time? Would he remain sinful for his being deliberate regarding never to fast Ramadan? What is the atonement in this case? I hope sincerely he'd repent one day! … Thank you …

Answer:

Your brother will remain sinful until he sincerely repents, while supplicating to God to attain forgiveness and pardon, and until he would fast each one of the missed days. If his health would not allow it, he should pay money (or give food) to the poor for each day missed by him.

Supplication and Fate

Published in June 12, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Would our supplications to the Lord God change the preordained fate of adversity or hardships? … Thank you …

Answer:

Of course not; the problem of human beings is that they never know the metaphysical realm of the future; God rewards those who supplicate to Him because this is an act of worship in itself; this does NOT mean necessarily that God will answer your prayers; God grants to you what He sees as suitable for you. As for preordained fates, God decrees them and they are irreversible and unavoidable; God says the following in the Quran: "Your Lord has said, "Pray to Me, and I will respond to you. But those who are too proud to worship Me will enter Hell forcibly."" (40:60); "No calamity occurs on earth, or in your souls, but it is in a Book, even before We make it happen. That is easy for God." (57:22).

The Night of Decree, Again!

Published in June 12, 2018

Question:  … Dear Sir, … Is the Night of Decree which occurs every Ramadan might fall within the nights of 21st, 23rd, 25th, & 27th  of Ramadan, or is this a Sunnite myth? Do we receive immense rewards from God for acts of worship performed in this unknown night, or is this again a Sunnite myth?… Thank you …

Answer:

Both ideas pertain to Sunnite mythology; God does NOT command any celebration or certain acts of worship during the Night of Decree; no mortals knew or can know when the Night of Decree is during Ramadan; no one knows its specific day; we should only believe in the Quranic facts about it mentioned in the Quranic Chapter 97. We should NOT fall into the trap/sin of inventing religious rules/laws on our own never authorized by God in the Quran. We are only to apply the Quranic commands of the Lord God as far as religion is concerned. For more information, we refer you to our book in English titled "The Night-Journey Is the Night of Decree", found on this link: (http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=112).

You Are Welcome, Dear Son

Published in June 13, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … My name is...... and I'm a twenty-year-old young man. I've sent you before a question weeks ago and you've answered me; thank you very much for taking some of your valuable time to do so; but now, while I'm reading your great archive of writings while pondering on every word, I feel glad that Sunnite myths have left my mind forever along with lies taught to me in school and at home; yet, my question now pertains to the topic of polytheism; if I followed the view of someone in religion, am I deifying him unawares?! I do not know if fatwas I hear and read in the media are true or not; if I followed such wrong/true fatwas, would I be deemed a polytheist who follows the whims/desires?! What am I supposed to do to avoid this confusion and base all my stances and actions on the Quran alone? How? Any advice? … Thank you …

Answer:

You are welcome, our dear son, to our website; may God guide you and our person to His Path of righteousness. Polytheism/disbelief is the gravest sin; yet, those who fall into this trap and then repent sincerely will be forgiven by their Lord God on the Last Day. Polytheism/disbelief is of two types: (1) violent, aggressive behavior (e.g., atrocities and crimes committed by Wahabi jihadists and terrorists) against the innocent, peaceful ones, and (2) to deify/sanctify things/items and mortals (prophets and 'saints'). Of course, the four pre-Umayyad caliphs began this disbelief/polytheism in terms of behavior by the heinous crimes perpetrated during the aggression known as the Arab conquests; other caliphs followed their footsteps in grave sins; these grave injustices inflicted on the conquered nations are sins against God's Religion (i.e., the Quran), because the invented notions/hadiths to justify such aggression, massacres, looting, enslavement, etc. are ascribed to God's Religion. God does NOT love the unjust ones and He commands just, fair, and kind treatment with peaceful ones who have other religions; fighting is decreed only in cases of self-defense against aggressors: "As for those who have not fought against you for your religion, nor expelled you from your homes, God does not prohibit you from dealing with them kindly and equitably. God loves the equitable." (60:8); "And fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not commit aggression; God does not love the aggressors." (2:190); "...Whoever commits aggression against you, retaliate against him in the same measure as he has committed against you. And be conscious of God, and know that God is with the righteous." (2:194). As for you, our dear son, what you have mentioned has nothing to do with polytheism; all you have to do is to learn Quranic facts of Islam; do not be among the Muhammadans have rejected and abandoned the Quran and never pay heed to clergymen at all. Please continue studying carefully our writings and watch all our subtitled-into-English videos; you are a young man and you will learn fast; we feel happy to see pure-hearted persons as you are. We sincerely hope you will join our website as a writer of articles later on. Thank you.

About the Verse 9:86

Published in June 13, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … What does the phrase (the able ones among them) mean in this verse: "When a chapter is revealed, stating: "Believe in God and strive with His Messenger," the able ones among them ask you for exemption. They say, "Allow us to stay with those who stay behind."" (9:86)? What is meant by (able) here? … Thank you …

Answer:

Those were the Yathreb hypocrites who were too reluctant to participate in the self-defense military endeavors despite being physically and financially able to participate in such endeavors. This is a source of shame for them as they desired to lag behind along with women, children, and the elderly; hence, the word (able) here is employed to mock them and to show that God despises them: "They prefer to be with those who stay behind. Their hearts were sealed, so they do not understand." (9:87).

You Are Excused!

Published in June 13, 2018

Question: …  Dear Sir, … I am married to three wives … Many years ago, when I worked as a university teacher, a female student of mine (who was fully veiled; i.e., she wore a niqab covering her face) requested from me through the phone to find a husband for her; I told her I can marry her as a fourth wife; she refused to marry a married man like me … Days ago, the same female student, a single woman now in her forties, and a spinster, has phoned me to remind me that she can marry me now; I told her I still have 3 wives and 12 sons and daughters and that my retirement money is not enough to marry a 4th wife and spend on her; she told me she can spend on a household for herself and me as her future husband; she told me with a melodious voice that she will lend me the dowry to pay it to her brothers; she loves me too much, she says. I told her I must see her face; she told me I will see her when I meet her elder brother; when I went to meet him at his house, she unveiled her face to me; I was shocked to the core: she is very, very ugly; it's as if her face is that of an old sheep! I was about to vomit out of disgust when I first saw her! I ran away from the house of her brother after I excused myself by pretending to have a severe stomach-ache! Days later, she phoned me and rebuked me for reneging on my word to marry her; I told her I never promised her anything; she accused me of breaking the covenant/pledge with God as I swore by His Holy Name to marry her! Am I thus sinful? Of course, I will never marry her, not for the whole world! I never care if she is wealthy; but what about my uttered oath to marry her?! How atonement can be done? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

You never promised her anything; she wants to entrap you into a foolish promise; you have the right to refuse her request. If you have indeed sworn by God's Holy Name, you have to atone for this sin as per this verse: "God does not hold you accountable for your unintended oaths, but He holds you accountable for your binding oaths. The atonement for it is by feeding ten needy people from the average of what you feed your families, or by clothing them, or by freeing a slave. Anyone who lacks the means shall fast for three days. That is the atonement for breaking your oaths when you have sworn them. So keep your oaths. Thus God makes clear His Revelations to you, that you may be thankful." (5:89). We congratulate you on your narrow escape, of course!

The State/Condition of One's Death

Published in June 14, 2018

Question: …  Dear Sir, …Is it part of Islam, or part of Sunnite folklore/balderdash, that one is destined to Hell if one dies while sinning? Is dying while sinning (e.g., fornicating or watching porn!) a sign of the person's soul going to Hell as one did not have the chance to repent?! … Sunnite sheikhs tell us that those who die naked are sinful ones condemned to Hell! Is that true?! … Thank you …

Answer:

Please do not pay attention to Sunnite mythology; death is the inevitable end of all living creatures; hence, causes of death to any person are not a form of punishment or disgrace at all; natural death is not a punishment, either. All human beings (prophets and non-prophets) are mortals. Good, pious ones supplicate to God and implore Him to die as Muslims (i.e., submitters to Him). This applies to Joseph: "...Receive my soul in submission, and unite me with the righteous ones." (12:101); this applies to Abraham and his grandson Jacob: "And Abraham exhorted his sons, and Jacob, "O my sons, God has chosen this religion for you, so do not die unless you have submitted." Or were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, and he said to his sons, "What will you worship after Me?" They said, "We will worship your God, and the God of your fathers, Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac; One God; and to Him we submit."" (2:132-133). It is never part of Islam to condemn or praise someone's circumstances, state, or condition of death as an indicator of one's fate in the Hereafter. Those ignoramuses who assume that such notions were 'true' are merely following the Sunnite nonsense of Satan; that is all. When souls leave the bodies forever, all ties between the souls and bodies are severed forever; the soul will see its Book of Deeds on the Last Day; the angels of death inform the soul of its destiny in Hell or in Paradise as per the irrevocable decree of the Lord God; this is also as per one's (mis)deeds and (lack of) monotheistic faith. Those who committed sins and made good deeds within repentance later on will be judged by God and not by mortals: "Others are held in suspense, awaiting God's decree, as to whether He will torment them, or accept their repentance. God is Aware and Wise." (9:106).

Sanctifying 'Holy' Hairs of Muhammad!

Published in June 15, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I heard about the silliness of those Muhammadans inside a certain mosque in an Arab city who keep three hairs deemed as 'holy' and they sanctify them while claiming they were cut off from the head hair of Prophet Muhammad; these three hairs are worshiped and kissed in their glass container within an annual festival! How can such polytheistic practices of utter madness be refuted? Why do not you write an article about this? … Thank you …

Answer:

All such polytheistic practices are proofs of the disbelief of the Muhammadans; after 40 years of our intellectual journey as a reformist thinker, we have no time to dedicate an article to this topic of the so-called three hairs; we have asserted in our previous articles that deifying/sanctifying of mortals and items/things as well as mausoleums/tombs are sinful practices of polytheism; that it all. The Muhammadans deify Muhammad and a mausoleum in Yathreb ascribed falsely to him and perform pilgrimage there; they seem never to realize the fact that he died and turned to dust like any other human corpses. It is silly to deify relics, possessions, garments, hairs, bones, or body parts of prophets or non-prophet (i.e., so-called saints). All relics and mausoleums are fake and are abominations of Satan's doing. During the Mameluke Era, some con-men made lucrative business of carving footprint on rocks to sell it to gullible, naïve people as if such rocks contained footprints of Muhammad and the so-called Sufi saints. One of such rocks with a footprint is still being venerated and kissed in the mosque dedicated to the Shiite-Sufi saint named as Sayed Al-Badawi in the Nile-Delta city of Tanta, Egypt. Some Orthodox Christians in Egypt during the Mameluke Era (as per hagiology or biographies of 'saints') revered some dirty hairs from the asshole of a Christian monk-saint who never took a shower in his life as he hated water! This is as silly as those who deify hairs of Muhammad's head, those Hindus who deify cows, those Saudis who deify camel's urine, and those atheists who deify themselves or rather their bodies and genitalia. Hence, when Satan controls the minds/souls of polytheists, they are reduced to a level lower than animals.

Are Amusements Prohibited in Islam?

Published in June 16, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Are amusements prohibited in Islam? … Thank you …

Answer:

Of course not; innocent diversions and harmless amusements are OK and permissible; they are prohibited ONLY in case of making them part of one's religious practices or acts of worship. For instance, singing and dancing are NOT prohibited in Islam (provided that sexual innuendos and mishaps are avoided); yet, Sufi dancing and singing are prohibited as grave sins since Sufis ascribe such practices to Islam.

About Aisha, Again

Published in June 16, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I'm a Quranist man like you … Within your book (in Arabic) titled "The Quran: Sufficient as a Source of Islamic Legislation" (available in English on this link: http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=92), you describe Aisha as (mother of the faithful) when you prove that she has nothing to do with the Quranic context of the verses 24:11-20 … This contradicts your later writings when you have accused Aisha of being a sinner who caused the death of thousands of men during the battle of the Camel as per historical accounts as she was among those who sought superiority within wealth and power and who disbelieved in the Quran and disregarded this verse in particular: "That Home of the Hereafter - We assign it for those who seek no superiority on earth, nor corruption. And the outcome is for the pious ones." (28:83) …  Would you explain this contradiction in your book to me?! … Thank you …

Answer:

Thank you very much for your good question; may God guide you and our person to the Righteous Path. We remind you that we are a researcher/thinker in quest for the Truth; our reaching any Quranist conclusions has been a gradual process; at first, in the 1970s, we were a 'moderate' Sunnite Azharite person who aimed to exclude false hadiths (deemed by us as a majority among them) and to 'retain' and 'prove' the 'true' ones (deemed by us as very little among them), by using the Quran as the only criterion; yet, later on in the 1980s and 1990s, we have reached the conclusion that all hadiths are false and that the Quran is the only source of legislation in Islam; we have undermined and refuted the Sunnite religion as we have done with Sufism; we have concluded that the Shiite, Sunnite, and Sufi religions have nothing to do with Islam; many notions have been refuted by us with the passage of years within a gradual process of diligent and meticulous research; we have cleansed our mind from many false, polytheistic notions; we have never published on our website the book we've authored in 1985 about praising the four pre-Umayyad caliphs to be taught to our students at Al-Azhar University. In 1984, we have authored a book to assert that Arab conquests are a grave crime/sin that violates the Quran; this book is titled "The Character of Egypt after the Arab Conquest" (found in English on this link: http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=96). The book you have mentioned in your message has been written in 1990 and it was confiscated by the local authorities in Cairo, Egypt. At the time, we used to assume that Aisha is a good character in history and that she is a mother of the faithful, based on the common misunderstanding of the verse 33:6, which indicates only that men at the time were never allowed to marry the wives of Muhammad when they are widowed (i.e., after the death of Muhammad). Of course, Aisha was a sinner as we have proven in our book titled "The Unspoken-of History of the Pre-Umayyad 'Righteous' Caliphs" (found in English on this link: http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=83). Of course, we are a thinker and a researcher; we are no prophet/messenger who receives revelation from God; we might make mistakes and our views/writings are not devoid of mistakes, especially in the early stages of our career, and we never feel proud/arrogant; we admit to our mistakes and correct them all the time since 1977 and until now; we declare all our Quranist research findings honestly and correct them in case we made mistakes as part of a gradual process of self-correction and self-reform that goes on until now. Our writings aim to refute and to undermine myths that are deep-rooted notions for 14 centuries within heritage books of traditions; the reform route is too long and we need others to follow our footsteps; we are a trail-blazer and a torch-bearer who paves the way while we are impecunious and owns nothing but our pen, our brains, and our website, while seeking guidance from God's Word: the Quran. We rely on God's aid to guide us to the Truth.

Menstruation, Again

Published in June 17, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I agree wholeheartedly with you that during my period, I can perform the five daily prayers; yet, what if blood dribbled from my vagina during prayers? Shall I repeat the prayers or not? … Thank you …

Answer:

Of course, you should put a sanitary towel or a piece of cloth to stop this before performing prayers; yet, if blood stains your clothes despite taking all possible measures, it is OK; you do not have to repeat your prayers; facilitation and ease are essential  part of sharia laws as far as Islamic acts of worship are concerned; God does not burden a soul beyond its capacity. Please do not pay heed to Sunnite fiqh myth (about mensuration) derived from Talmudic myths and the mythology of the Old Testament of the Bible.

The Heedless Ones of Today

Published in June 17, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … What do you think of the fate of those persons who adhere to peaceful behavior but they disbelieve in the Quran, never take heed to read it, or never heard of it in the first place? I mean those who are atheists and those who stick to their earthly/terrestrial man-made religions inherited from their ancestors: Sunnites, Shiites, Sufis, Christians, etc. and died as such … Thank you …

Answer:

If they died as heedless disbelievers, their fate is certainly Hell in the Hereafter. It is a sad fact that when most people buy/sell anything, they are very careful, cautious, and watchful to avoid being deceived; yet, regarding religion, most people never use their minds and accept the dominant norms in their societies without questioning them; they follow clergymen blindly; many of them are heedless regarding the Hereafter; many of them show by their daily practices that they disbelieve in God and in the Last Day. This is why most people are unaware as they are too busy to think/contemplate/ponder on the universe and its Creator and on death and what they hear about eschatology and the Hereafter in general. Of course, as per many Quranic verses, when one is afflicted with hardships, times of adversities, calamities, and disasters, one typically remember God and supplicate to Him for deliverance; yet, once one is saved, one typically returns to the usual atheism/denial and/or polytheism/disbelief. If such heedless ones die as such, their fate is Hell for eternity. The guided persons who heed death and the Hereafter seek the Truth and Guidance ardently and passionately; they never cease in their endeavors to reach the True Religion and this makes God grant them Guidance.

No Religious Feasts in Islam

Published in June 18, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Am I to celebrate the Lesser Bairam that follows Ramadan or not? Why such feasts like the Lesser and the Greater Bairam are not mentioned in the Quran? … Thank you …

Answer:

There are noreligious feasts in Islam; the Quran never mentions any feasts or celebrations of any kind; as a Quranist, you should never celebrate such polytheistic additions invented by the imams of Sunnites, Shiites, and Sufis. We have discussed this topic in our articles and within our book about undermining hadiths of Malik in his book titled (Al-Mowata').

Hunting and Fishing

Published in June 18, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I'm a new Quranist from Morocco; I understand that no pilgrims should ever go hunting during pilgrimage in Mecca and that fishing is OK during pilgrimage as per the Quran; yet, Mecca is away from the Red Sea (five hours by the bus!); how come then that pilgrims can go fishing? … Thank you …

Answer:

God in the Quran makes fishing permissible in all times even during one's journey towards Mecca to perform pilgrimage; in contrast, one must never go hunting during pilgrimage in Mecca. God says in the Quran: "O you who believe! Fulfill your contracts. Livestock animals are permitted for you, except those specified to you; but not wild game while you are in pilgrim sanctity. God decrees whatever He wills." (5:1) "O you who believe! do not kill game while you are in pilgrim sanctity. Whoever of you kills any intentionally, its penalty shall be a domestic animal comparable to what he killed, as determined by two honest persons among you - an offering delivered to the Kaaba. Or he may atone by feeding the needy, or its equivalent in fasting, so that he may taste the consequences of his conduct. God forgives what is past. But whoever repeats, God will take revenge on him. God is Almighty, Avenger.Permitted for you is the catch of sea, and its food - as sustenance for you and for travelers. But forbidden for you is the game of land while you are in pilgrim sanctity. And fear God, to Whom you will be gathered." (5:95-96); "And it is He who made the sea to serve you, that you may eat from it tender meat, and extract from it ornaments that you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, as you seek His bounties, so that you may give thanks." (16:14); "The two seas are not the same. One is fresh, sweet, good to drink, while the other is salty and bitter. Yet from each you eat tender meat, and extract jewelry which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through them, so that you may seek of His bounty, so that you may give thanks." (35:12).

My French Friend

Published in June 17, 2015

Question: … Dear Sir, … My cultured French friend has ridiculed the notion that the Quran is preserved in a "tablet" in heaven; he asked me if Muhammad received the verses gradually in separate occasions or the entirety of the Quranic text during the Night of Decree; I could not answer him! … Would you please tell me what to say to answer him?! … Thank you …

Answer:

The entirety of the Quranic text was inscribed into the soul of Muhammad at Mount Al-Tur in Sinai, Egypt, where he went during the Night-Journey; Quranic verses flowed from his mouth as per the occasions and events which took place in Mecca and Yathreb. For more information about this topic, please read our book titled "The Night-Journey Is The Night of Decree" (found in English on this link: http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=112).

The Hadith about Teaching Children How to Swim

Published in September 27, 2013

Question: … Dear Sir, … Why can't Quranists accept innocuous, harmless hadiths like the one about the advice to teach our children swimming, horse-riding, etc.? … Thank you …

Answer:

To accept to believe in any hadiths/narratives/discourses besides the Quran is sheer polytheism leading to Hell; the pieces of advice in the hadith you mention have nothing to do with Muhammad who never uttered such words; he lived in a desert area and this hadith has been authored by Abbasid narrators who lived by river-banks and by the seaside areas.
