Peace and mercy of GOD be upon all of you,

        In this article I want to discuss an important issue which so many people try to avoid. The evolution theory as described by Darwin is having so many scientific evidences which are making it to appear true more and more. But for many times this theory was being described as bad one not through scientific discussion but has been attacked only by the name of religion as if this theory is refuting GOD. Also it was said that whoever believes in this theory is an atheist.

       In this article I want to show that there is no contradiction between this theory and Islam. Darwin himself did not claim that this theory refutes GOD and he did not say that this theory describes about the origin of life. All he wanted to say from this theory was why there are different species of animals and plants. It is not a must that whoever agrees about the fact that species are generated from one another is an unbeliever of GOD. Even the factors which prompted this theory to happen was by the will of GOD. Now I will start discussing with those who says that this theory is against religion:

1st: Some people say that this theory refutes GOD from being the creator of humans:-

It seems here that the way that GOD creates is unknown to most of people.

((Even so, GOD creates what He pleases; when He has decreed a matter, He only says to it, Be, and it is.)) The noble Quran, Chapter 3 verse 47

Quran never claimed that humans were the first species to be created by GOD. So what is wrong when we say that GOD said let there be humans then by his authority and organization an evolutionary process from an already created species happened resulting in the creation of human.

((He began the creation of man from dust.)) The noble Quran, Chapter 32 verse 7

 Here this noble verse does not mean necessarily that mud was converted directly into a human. For example let us look at these noble verses:

((He it is Who has created man from the water)) The noble Quran, Chapter 25 verse 54

((He created man from a clot)) The noble Quran, Chapter 96 verse 2

Looking at the previous verses we are noticing stages about the creation of man. So neither verse 54 means that water is directly converted to man nor verse 2 speaks about direct conversion from clot to a man.

((And GOD has created from water every living creature: so of them is that which walks upon its belly, and of them is that which walks upon two feet, and of them is that which walks upon four; GOD creates what He pleases; surely GOD has power over all things.)) The Noble Quran, Chapter 24 verse 45

What I want to say is that Quran reveals stages of creation but never claimed that everything is created separately. The only thing that Quran claimed about the creation of man is that the first stage of the creation of human was from mud and that is exactly what science confirmed. ((The origin of life on earth came from the ground itself)) Let’s look at this noble verse:

((He it is Who originates the creation, then reproduces it, and it is easy to Him;)) The Noble Quran, Chapter 30 verse 27

Very clearly it is talking that GOD originates creation then he repeats it at anytime. So what is wrong in saying that evolution process can happen anytime by the will and organization of GOD. (This is happening nowadays in Microbiology very rapidly) Another example is the origin of planet earth. Quran never claims that earth was created that way only but it speaks about stages of creation of earth. It claimed that in the first stage the sky and earth were one and their origin was gas and that is what exactly science has confirmed.

2nd: There are some people who say that this theory discriminates human by saying that the origin of human is an ape thus refuting humans from being a special creature:

That is a big misconception about this theory. This theory does not say that. It says that humans and apes have the same origin or two similar origins. Also Quran never claimed that humans are special because of the way that humans were created. Let’s read the following noble verse together:

((The similitude of Jesus before GOD is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was.)) The noble Quran, Chapter 3 verse 59

The meaning is very clear that the creation of Jesus is like the creation of Adam and like the creation of everything (Be and was). So we can not say that humans are special because their creation was different or it was little bit tougher for GOD!!!! Then how humans are special????? Let’s read the following noble verses:

((We did indeed offer the Trust to the Heavens and the Earth and the Mountains; but they refused to undertake it, being afraid thereof: but man undertook it;-)) The noble Quran, Chapter 33 verse 72

((and has given you shape- and made your shapes beautiful)) The noble Quran, Chapter 40 verse 64

((He has taught him speech (and intelligence).)) The noble Quran, Chapter 55 verse 4

((We have indeed created man in the best of moulds)) The noble Quran, Chapter 95 verse 4

((He Who taught (the use of) the pen. Taught man that which he knew not)) The noble Quran, Chapter 96 verses 4-5

As we can notice humans’ high value is due to their ability to undertake the trust that GOD gave, due to their beauty, and due to humans’ ability to learn (BRAIN). Till now science could not figure out why human’s brain is the most complex and why humans are the most intelligent creature although humans share a common ancestor with other creatures. This thing increased my belief in GOD. That is why humans are special because of their brains.

       At the end I want to say that one day someone might discover something that refutes this theory but the noble Quran will remain above refutation and that is the miracle of the Quran.

((but none knows its interpretation except GOD, and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord)) The noble Quran, Chapter 3 verse 7
