I was trying to explain what 9:29 means to someone, when i noticed this very peculiar statement: I am a firm beleiver in the fact that Allah (swt) is the ONLY authority capable of allowing, or prohibiting things. Yet this verse gives the Prophet the capacity to also prohibit things. How can this verse be explained? How could Mohammed(pbuh)be given the right to prohibit things when it is mentioned several times in the quran that Mohammed (pbuh) does not have the right to rule over people (example: 88:21-22)

Please read my book (The Quran is enough) to know the difference between the term (Prophet) and the other term of (messenger).
