His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al-Faisal, one of the founders of the King Faisal Foundation and chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in Riyadh, will discuss the current state of the Middle East peace process. Carnegie President Jessica T. Mathews will moderate.

His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al-Faisal is one of the founders of the King Faisal Foundation and the chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in Riyadh. He served as the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United States from 2005 to 2007. He was appointed an adviser in the Royal Court in 1973. From 1977 to 2001, he served as the director general of Saudi Arabia’s General Intelligence Directorate. He is co-chair of the C100 Group, which has been affiliated with the World Economic Forum since 2003. He also serves on the on the Carnegie Middle East Advisory Council.

Moderator
Jessica Mathews was appointed president of the Carnegie Endowment in 1997. Her career includes senior positions in the White House, State Department, Congress, Council on Foreign Relations, World Resources Institute, and the Washington Post.
