They Do Not Hate the Truth, But They Are among Hell Dwellers!

Introduction:

1- God says the following in the Quran within the context of talking about Hell dwellers: "…he brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth." (23:70). This verse refers to the Quranic Truth conveyed by Muhammad but rejected by disbelievers during his lifetime. Within another Quranic context, Hell dwellers are described as imploring Malik, the arch-angel supervising Hell, to ask God to make them taste death so that they might be relieved from Hell torment, but Malik will stay forever in Hell as they hated the Truth during their lifetimes on earth: "And they will cry, "O Malik, let your Lord finish us off." He will say, "You are staying." We have given you the truth, but most of you hate the truth." (43:77-78). We discern from these two verses that the majority of Hell dwellers have been haters of the Truth during their transient lifetimes on earth. Hence, we deduce that there is a minority among Hell dwellers who used to love the Truth. Why, then, will they be among Hell dwellers. We can understand that Quran-haters, -rejecters, and -deniers will enter into Hell; what about those who did not hate or reject the Quran, why some of them will enter into Hell?!

2- We trace a possible answer below.

Firstly:

1- It is not difficult to reach the Truth; what is difficult indeed is to adhere to it. Let us ponder upon the whole Quranic Chapter 103, titled "Time'': "By Time, the human being is in loss, except those who believe, and do good deeds, and encourage Truth, and recommend patience." (103:1-3). We understand this Quranic Chapter 103 as indicating the fact that the vast majority of human beings, in all eras, are in loss, i.e., in Hell, during the everlasting Hereafter and that the minority of human beings will enter into Paradise if they have believed, did good deeds, encouraged Truth, and adhered to patience, during their temporary lifetimes on earth. This tells us that Truth entails sticking to it steadfastly and staunchly, always and in all cases, and such adherence entails a great deal of patience. This adherence to the Truth and such sticking to patience entail mutual relentless recommendation and pieces of advice among real believers. Thus, without the Truth and patience described in the Quranic Chapter 103, one's fate is loss during the Day of Resurrection by dwelling in Hell for eternity. Adherence to the Truth and bearing patiently with it is the kind of cooperation for the sake of piety and righteousness against tyrants, despots, and all the unjust ones who cooperate in aggressions and sinning: "…And cooperate with one another in virtuous conduct and piety and do not cooperate with one another in sin and acts of aggression…" (5:2).

2- It is difficult for many people to adhere to the Truth because of the power and authority of the Truth-haters who spread and maintain falsehoods within a given society. Besides, the tyrannical unjust ones within a given society never leave callers of the Truth alone in peace; never letting them be, as they persecute, threaten, torture, murder, and chase them all the time. As a result, many people know, like, and love the Truth a great deal and do not dislike or hate it at all, even to the smallest degree; yet, they shun, avoid, and overlook the Truth, seeking their own comfort and safety, as they nonchalantly assert to themselves that they do not care about society or people within their communities. Further explanation is given blow, as we tackle some Quranic rules.

2/1: Almighty God asserts this Quranic general rule that was, is, and will be repeated and applied in all times and climes, in all eras and locations: "And thus We set up in every city its leading wicked sinners, to conspire in it…" (6:123). This Quranic fact has been witnesses past and present worldwide; the major criminals and sinners are mostly the sultans, rulers, kings, and presidents who are tyrannical, corrupt, and filthily rich of ill-gotten money. When one of them dies or gets toppled, he is succeeded by another replica of despotism and corruption, regardless of their names, countries, and geographical locations. Those grave sinners are the criminals who hate the Truth very much; we mean they hate the Quranic Truth and the Truth that means both justice and fairness. Justice is the paramount Quranic higher value, as we have asserted in many writings before. Hence, such corrupt tyrants and criminals are foes and adversaries of the celestial, divine message of the Quran that God has revealed to people in order that they apply justice; this is the reason of the previous divine books and messages as well conveyed by all prophets: "We sent Our messengers with the clear proofs, and We sent down with them the Book and the Balance, that humanity may uphold justice…" (57:25). Corrupt Truth-hating tyrants maintain their higher status, elevated stature, power, authority, and wealth by means of intrigues, conspiracies, plotting, oppressing others, and spreading bloodshed and wars as well as keeping false religions as fodder to the masses.

2/2: The masses are allowed the opium of earthly, fabricated, and man-made religions and doctrines to make them bear injustice, corruption, oppression, and tyranny. Tyrants everywhere always need clergymen to help them spread falsehoods of the Satanist, devilish revelation of lies, falsities, and fabricated narratives to deceive people, while ascribing such faulty notions and narratives to God and His prophets. This devilish revelation is also a Quranic general rule about life in human societies, a rule that was, is, and will be repeated and applied in all times and climes, in all eras and locations: " Likewise, We have assigned for every prophet an enemy-human and jinn devils-inspiring one another with fancy words in order to deceive. But had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. So leave them to their fabrications.  So that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter may incline to it, and be content with it, and that they may perpetrate whatever they perpetrate." (6:112-113). Hence, we are talking here about a vast majority of the masses; i.e., people who listen attentively, willingly, and approvingly to falsehoods, lies, and fabricated narratives while seeing them as religious truth. Among such 'religious' lies is a major one injected into the masses: to submit willingly to injustice and oppression as if they were preordained 'Fate' that must be welcomed. Such opium of the masses would soon move them into the next level of the evil route: those ordinary people are turned easily into a cudgel in the hand of the unjust, oppressive, corrupt tyrants to punish and harm the true callers for justice and preachers of the Truth. Thus, ironically, when one defends the oppressed who suffered injustices, they may help tyrants against that defender! This tragedy has occurred to us many times years ago!

2/3: When corruption and tyranny reign supreme in a given society for a long time, looting of money and accumulation of ill-gotten wealth increase exponentially; this leads to the disappearance of the middle class, while millionaires turn into billionaires, and billionaires turn into multi-billionaires. At the same time, the poor ones become more impoverished and impecunious, until they live in hunger and threat, deprived of basic rights and all facilities of life. Such conditions make a given society be divided into two parts: a minority of the affluent well-off ones and a vast majority of the penniless hungry ones. Such a society might explode inwardly or by external factors. Within such critical times, the discourse is deafeningly louder about the so-called ''sticking to static notions or fundamentals of religion'', which means all ancestral religious and backward traditions and deifying and worshipping of these forefathers. Tyrants keep such discourse in order to allow the oppressed masses to vent their stifled frustration and ire; another way to vent such negative sentiments is to persecute reformers and caller for reform on all levels (let us contemplate what is going on now in Egypt, Dec. 2016). Another Quranic general rule that was, is, and will be repeated and applied in all times and climes, in all eras and locations is about how bad to deify, sanctify, and revere the so-called static notions or fundamentals inherited as traditions of the forefathers. Those unchangeable untouchable sanctified 'static notions' (in both social traditions and in religious ones) are maintained by the affluent unjust classes in a given society as fodder to the masses and in order to allow the affluent unjust ones to retain its privileges, status, and stature that have grown and flourished within the protection of such traditions or static notions that deceive the masses. If such holy fossilized notions vanish, the affluent unjust ones will certainly lose their awe, higher status, elevated stature, power, authority, hegemony, monopoly, and ill-gotten wealth soon enough. We read in the Quran that the affluent, powerful ones of the Qorayish tribesmen, who rejected the Quranic message, that they had said the following: "But they say, "We found our forefathers on a right course, and we are guided in their footsteps."" (43:22). This is the stance of all affluent corrupt minority in a given society in all eras, as a general rule: "Likewise, We sent no warner before you to any town, but the wealthy among them said, "We found our parents on a course, and we are following in their footsteps."" (43:22).

2/4: The hegemony and monopoly of the affluent class that confiscates power, authority, and wealth drive its members to adamantly refuse God's orders to apply justice and to stick to their disobedience, sinning, and immorality. Such conditions in a given society would result into the endgame or the last phase; when explosion of society inwardly or by external factors or within both conditions. God has made this a Quranic general rule that was, is, and will be repeated and applied in all times and climes, in all eras and locations about the disobedience, sinning, and immorality of the affluent unjust ones and how their corruption destroys a given society: " When We decide to destroy a town, We command its affluent ones (i.e., command them to apply justice), they transgress in it, so the word becomes justified against it, and We destroy it completely." (17:16). Let us ponder on what is occurring nowadays in Syria Yemen, Iraq, and Libya; and what might occur to other countries later on.

2/5: Thus, the affluent criminals are the leading corrupters who persecute callers of justice and Truth and preachers of reform, and eventually, the collapse and downfall of the corrupt affluent ones becomes imminent. This is why God has told us that those criminals are in fact conspiring against themselves unknowingly: "And thus We set up in every city its leading wicked sinners, to conspire in it, but they conspire only against themselves, and they do not realize it." (6:123). Such persecution suffered by callers of justice and Truth as well as preachers of reform in the hands of the tyrannical corrupt affluent ones terrorizes many people who know the Truth, and do not hate it, and thus drives them to move away from the Truth and keep a distance from it as much as they could; hence, their fate is everlasting Hell if they die without repentance and supporting the Truth with all their might.

3- Stinginess:

3/1: The endeavors of callers of justice and Truth and preachers of reform on all levels, especially the religious one, entail sacrifice of oneself for the sake of Truth/the Quran and to spend money for God's sake to raise people's awareness; this is real jihad within peaceful intellectual efforts by dedicating one's life to the Truth, as we understand from the following verse: "So do not obey the disbelievers, but strive against them with it, a mighty struggle." (25:52). This verse is addressing Muhammad, and the pronoun ''it'' here refers in this context to the Quran. Hence, the best intellectual peaceful jihad is using the Quran to preach for reform and justice, and such intellectual efforts entails time, money, and sometimes self-defense fighting against aggressors, oppressors, and persecutors. This is why jihad in the Quran entails sacrifices of money and self in such context, as God describes Muhammad and early faithful believers with him in this verse: "But the messenger and those who believe with him struggle with their possessions and their lives. These have deserved the good things. These are the successful." (9:88).

3/2: A reminder: fighting for God's sake is not aggression; rather, it is a self-defense means when one is faced by oppressors, aggressors, and fighters. Hence, this is to defend oneself against actual aggression taken place already, and this self-defense fighting stops once aggression stops. Such struggle or fighting entails money and sacrifices of one's life, as this is jihad for Almighty God's sake within his divine message of the Quran to end the persecution suffered by preachers of the Truth and callers for justice. The divine criteria is based on jihad with oneself and one's money to set the two varying degrees of true believers in Paradise: forerunners and those on the right, specified as per the Quranic Chapter 56. This is asserted in other verses as well: "And why is it that you do not spend in the cause of God, when to God belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who contributed before the conquest, and fought. Those are higher in rank than those who contributed afterwards, and fought. But God promises both a good reward. God is Well Experienced in what you do. Who is he who will lend God a loan of goodness, that He may double it for him, and will have a generous reward?" (57:10-11); "Not equal are the inactive among the believers-except the disabled-and the strivers in the cause of God with their possessions and their persons. God prefers the strivers with their possessions and their persons above the inactive, by a degree. But God has promised goodness to both. Yet God favors the strivers, over the inactive, with a great reward. Degrees from Him, and forgiveness, and mercy. God is Forgiving and Merciful." (4:95-96).

3/3: Stingy ones will enter into Hell in the Hereafter; we mean by the stingy ones are those rich ones whose miserliness controls and dominates their souls to the extent that they never spend any money for God's sake, while caring only for increasing their wealth by any means and dedicating all their lives to that greed. Those stingy ones do not believe truly in the Hereafter and the Last Day. Some of them might love the Truth, but their adoration of money prevails and prevents them from spending money for God's sake and God's cause. They live only to enjoy and take pride in accumulation of wealth, and they advise others not to spend in charity and intellectual jihad for justice and the Truth. God describes such people in the Quran in the following verses: "Woe to every slanderer backbiter who gathers wealth and counts it over, thinking that his wealth has made him immortal." (104:1-3); "…God does not love the proud snob. Those who are stingy, and induce people to be stingy. Whoever turns away-God is the Independent, the Praiseworthy." (57:23-24). Those stingy ones usually blame those who engage into intellectual, peaceful jihad and call vociferously and outspokenly for justice and human rights, and they would call reforms to alleviate their tone and lower their voice as they risk their lives, money, stature, and future of their progeny; those stingy ones would hush and silence callers of reform, as they bear grudges against those who call for the Truth and preach about confiscated rights that must be retrieved and applied now. The stingy ones call the preachers of Truth to calm down, take it easy, and compromise to avoid possible harm by tyrants. In contrast, real intellectual jihad reformers for the sake of Truth never care for the blame, ridicule, or rebuke of anyone, because they love God and God loves them: "O you who believe! Whoever of you goes back on his religion-God will bring a people whom He loves and who love Him, kind towards the believers, stern with the disbelievers. They strive in the way of God, and do not fear the blame of the critic. That is the grace of God; He bestows it upon whomever He wills. God is Embracing and Knowing." (5:54).

3/4: Those stingy ones who never spend a penny for God's cause and for His sake from the wealth He allowed them to amass and own will be tormented forever in Hell by their amassed possessions that will turn into shackles and fetters in Hell to their torture after they took pride in such precious possessions during their lifetimes on earth: "Those who withhold what God has given them of his bounty should not assume that is good for them. In fact, it is bad for them. They will be encircled by their hoardings on the Day of Resurrection. To God belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth, and God is well acquainted with what you do." (3:180).

3/5: Hence, God commands real, faithful believers to spend for His sake before remorse occurs when it is too late when one is dying: "O you who believe! Let neither your possessions nor your children distract you from the remembrance of God. Whoever does that-these are the losers. And give from what We have provided for you, before death approaches one of you, and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a short while, so that I may be charitable, and be one of the righteous." But God will not delay a soul when its time has come. God is Informed of what you do." (63:9-11).

Lastly: haters of the Truth in this bad, miserable modern times:

1- The Muhammadans in their countries live within daily oppression and injustices, losing rights and losing the route to the Truth. Injustices are being committed against the weakened ones on earth and also those reformers who defend them; e.g., human rights activists are being chased and harmed as daily routine of Middle-Eastern tyrants.

2- We mean by Truth both types: religion of the Quran as the absolute Truth (Quranism) and the Truth of this life: rights and justice for all.

2/1: The Truth about religion is the right of God; He asserts absolute freedom of religion for all human beings so that they bear responsibility as per their personal religious choice to be judged during the Last Day, owned and controlled solely by Almighty God the Dominant. This religious freedom includes that one may choose to believe, to disbelieve, to convert to any religion, to remain an atheist, to embrace or adhere to any sect or creed, and to proselytize it as well as to practice all rituals and build all types of worship houses freely, within frame of equality and peace. When such level of religious freedom is applied within a given society, religious myths dwindle and vanish gradually and so do the power, wealth, and authority of clergymen and any of those who trade and make ill-gotten money using the name of any religion and manipulate the gullible masses. Within such religious freedom, intellectual debates using reasoning mind will show the true religion (true Islam: Quranism) and people will tolerate religious diversity as tolerance, as a value, entails that one's religion (or lack of it, for that matter) is a personal individual matter in which no one is allowed to interfere. Those human rights activists who advocate and protect religious freedom (as this freedom is Almighty God's right and command) must be supported and protected by all possible means.

2/2: the Truth of this life is rights and justice for all; this includes all higher values agreed upon by all humanity, such as fairness, dignity, charity, equality, etc. Hence, political justice is direct democracy, judicial justice is independent supervised fair judicial system, and social justice is solidarity with the poor and the needy to alleviate their suffering and provide for them. Human rights activists who defend all such rights must be supported and protected by all possible means.

3- There are people who hate both types of the Truth, and they will enter into Hell for eternity. There are other people who do not hate both types of the Truth at all, but admire and love it even passionately; yet, it is a barren, unfruitful kind of love. The reason: because such love never results in good deeds to help defenders of the Truth and human rights activists. Such type of faith and belief in the Truth is lacking good deeds. That is why such persons who love the Truth non-fruitfully will be among Hell dwellers; these verses, quoted above, will apply to them as well: "And they will cry, "O Malik, let your Lord finish us off." He will say, "You are staying." We have given you the truth, but most of you hate the truth." (43:77-78). As always, God says nothing but the Truth.
