The State Security Forces Threatens to Detain Dr. Othman Mohamed Ali’s wife to Force Him to Return t
Dr. Soheir Abderahman received a threat that the State Security Forces will arrest her to force her husband, Dr. Osman Mohamed Ali, to come back from Canada, where he lives as a political asylee.
Dr. Soheir Abdelraman works as a medical doctor and helps managing her husband’s pharmacy while taking care of her daughters, Noura, and Salma, and her son Nader. She has no cultural, political, or social activities. Her time is divided between her job and her home. But because she is Dr. Osman Mohamed Ali’s wife, she usually suffers harassments from the Muslim Brothers and the police. Last year, two of her brothers, Abdelhamid Abdelrahman and Ayman Abdelrahman, were arrested along with the five detaines because of their association with the Quranists.
We do not know if this threat is real and will be executed, or is just a verbal threat to scare a modest and respectable lady and her kids in the absence of her husband.
Dr. Osman will not go back to Egypt to go to prison and become more helpless. He is better off in Canada to expose these dictators.
